2001 Toyota Sienna xle rear not blowing heat

Hello,

I love the Car Talk radio show.

I have a 2001 Toyota Sienna with a rear heat problem. The rear blower works when I have the AC on and the rear blower dialed down to 65 degrees. If I turn it up to about 70 degrees it turns off and I hear a light clunk under the dash as if its shutting off that duct. The rear blower doesn?t work at all in heat mode .

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Phillip Huculak

I think you may need a dealer to sort this out. Heat and AC in the rear is kind of dicey stuff. As long as nothing is leaking you may just have to live with the old fashioned idea of running the heat and AC from the front and the rear seaters will have to beg for more or less heat.

You could be looking at some pretty serious money to fix this.
