Hi. My honda is a manual transmission and every time I put it in first gear (or second sometimes) it makes a creaking noise. It sure sounds like some type of transmission problem, but im no genius in this area. I also have a challenge keeping my shifting smooth because it tends to jerk easily (which my fiance hates). Anyone have some idea. I haven’t taken it in yet to anyone. Please and thank you for your help.
Have someone check the engine mounts to make sure one is not worn or broken. It sounds like the engine/transmission unit may be shifting under load. Also a shifting engine will make smooth clutch engagement difficult if not grabby.
