2001 Ford Escape Cooling Problem

I have a 200 ford escape V6 3.0 AWD. It will sometimes run hot and occasionally over heat. This is due to the fact the there is too much pressure in the cooling system and it’s pushing all the coolant out of the overflow. I have run a hydrocarbon test to see if it was a head gasket and it was fine. I have also replaced the radiator cap, and thermostat. None of these have fixed the problem I’m thinking water pump? but not sure. Any ideas as to what it might be?

It’s possible that the water pump impellers are damaged or missing. A more likely problem is a plugged radiator or air in the cooling system. A good mechanic can check these areas out for you.
