My wife has a 2001 Buick Century, and it has the automatic headlights. When she’s driving in the dark, if she turns on the high beams the headlights go completely out within a minute or two. If she switches to low beams and right back to high beams, they work again, but again only for a minute or so.
I cannot replicate the problem during the daytime, because the lights don’t come on. During the day, if the lights are in manual, I can get the high beams to work fine. At night, even in manual, the high beams do the same as they do in auto.
Any suggestions?
