I had the alternator replaced on my 2000 Taurus. A few months later this intermittent problem started, the battery light would flicker and the lights would dim as tho there was a power drain. Then it would return to normanl and be ok for awhile. The techs have checked it out and can find nothing wrong. Any ideas?

I would guess that the replacement alternator has an internal intermittent problem. There could also be a connection problem to the alternator causing this to happen. Make sure all the connections to the alternator are clean and snug. Check the battery and be sure it is in good shape by doing a load test on the charging system and that the main wire from the alternator to the battery has no voltage drop across it.
