2000 Maxima Ignition Coils

I have heard these are really unreliable and have gotten a bid from a local garage (whm I trust) to replace all 6 for $1150. I have two questions:

1) I am wondering if this is something I can do myself as I am really mechanically imclined?

2) Do I need to replace all 6 or can I do them 1 at a time/as they fail?

The coils aren’t all that difficult to replace. Probably two or three screws hold the coil to the ignition module. After the screws are removed, you just unplug the coil from the ignition module.

Do you replace them all? No! Just replace them as they fail.

Out of six new ones, you could get three bad ones.
