Car idles really rough. I have to put it in neutral at a light so it won’t die on me. It also tries to die reversing. Can put the gas peddle all the way to the floorboard and it doesn’t do anything like it’s struggling to get gas.
How long has the check engine light been on?
Misfiring is a common problem with these engines, replace the spark plugs and ignition wires every 30,000 miles.
Clean the throttle body and IAC valve or replace the valve. It’s cheap.
