I have a 2000 dakota in the morning after the first start, moving foward the truck rocks and feels like trans. slipping. After 5 mins, just fine. Change the Trans. Ffilter?
Yes. Changing the transmission filter and refilling with the proper transmission fluid may help. Make sure to properly check your transmission fluid level before you start. The tranny may just be low on transmission fluid. If you don’t know when the transmission fluid and filter was last changed…then go ahead and get that done.
BTW…I never recommend flushing a transmission. A simple pan drop, filter and fluid replacement is all that’s needed.
