Need to replace the starter, but the starter location makes it almost impossible to reach the second bolt from above or below without removing the entire intake manifold. Any suggestions from those who have succeeded? Would rather do this myself vs. taking it to a shop.
I’ll answer my own question - there is no easy way to do this b/c I discovered it requires a special tool that the dealer has. For me, this time - chose to pay the dealer to do it. Dealer did it and even they had trouble. Good luck. I would say that the part the Dealer has is remanufactured and the NAPA part looks exactly the same with a better warrenty - I’d go with the NAPA one for $160 vs. $220 at the Dealer.
