1999 Acura TL -- stiff power steering

I’ve had this car since 2001. The power steering has always seemed stiff to me or maybe I’m losing muscles as I age. I thought it had something to do with air presure in the tires. Instead of keeping them at 32PSI I’ve increased the pressure to 34PSI. I can’t really say it’s been an improvement. I have 46,000 miles on the car. Could the power steering pump or steering rack be failing? Any suggestions?

The power steering is stiffer than normal by design on the TL’s. Mine (07) is stiff as well. It’s designed as a sportier car than the RL, and so they stiffened up the steering for better road feel.

Thanks for your answer. Glad to know I’m weak instead of having to spend big bucks on a repair.
