1998 Villager running wild

When I am on the highway running at about 70 mph, the van seems to lurch or stall. When I looked at the rpm gauge I noticed that the tach was revving up from 2200 to over 3000 rpm; sort of like you’re interring into passing gear and then cutting back. The van has 95,000 miles and runs quite well otherwise.

duplicate post, ignore this one.

The first post wasn’t answered either.

For the record: This poster is NOT me.

Now, I’ll see if I’m able to answer the question.

You MAY be having a torque converter problem.

Seeing as I am not a tech, I will leave that to one of our regular techs.
