I now have an annoying “clatter” sound coming from my supercharger cone housing ONLY when the car is in gear and at idle (ie: stop light,etc.)
Had a new serpentine belt replaced 6 months ago with new water pump.
114K miles, great condition otherwise. Is a BIG expense in my future?

The coupler has probably gone bad and it’s not that major a repair; as least in my opinion. The nose cone has to come off and this would be a good time to consider replacing the nose seal and to add oil. Many coupler repair kits come with a new seal and oil.
