I want to bypass the security feature on this car because of intermittent problems. The key resistor is 1.5k ohms. Can I cut the wires from the key cylinder and hardwire a 1.5k ohm resistor to trick the system.?

I have tried the cleaning. Problem now back in full force. I am sorry, but I can not find a reference cutting the sensor wires and installing a resistor. The key cylinder would be out of the circuit. Thank you for your thoughts.
