I just bought a used 1997 Prelude (non-SH) with the automatic transmission and the cool sport-shift.
When I just use the automatic transmission it doesn’t seem as though the car really knows which gear to go into. It feels like it’s slipping when I stop/accelerate as the shits are often hard and unexpected.
However, when I use the sport-shift thing and take care of it myself, I experience no problems whatsoever. I read on another forum that it could be the Torque-tensioner (or something like that, it certainly had the keyword Torque in there), but I obviously have no idea.
Does anybody else have a clue?
I should say, the slippage comes mostly when driving slower (0-30mph), after that it pretty much is a-ok.
