I’m trying to figure out my Mother’s 1997 Mercedes Benz 300 Diesel. It’s the non-turbo version, automatic.
She’s having an occasional stalling problem. Sometimes cold, sometimes warm around town. Always when coming to a stop. It starts right back up.
We’ve replaced the fuel filter several times, last time almost a year ago. I went through and found a few broken hose clamps under the hood last year and replaced them and all the rubber vacuum hoses I could find. The new filter and clamps helped for a while.
