suddenly while idling started coolant spraying looked at my 97 owners manual for reference just recently purchased antifreeze as recommended…not been added yet…thinking to add to tank on fender have not yet…got to check on that rubber plug at bottom of rad…that screws in…
Simple, get the leak fixed. Coolant should not spray from anywhere in the system. Since you can not describe the source of the ‘spray’, you need to take it to a professional. On a 22 year old vehicle likely many of the hoses need replacement, the radiator itself may be clogged with scale and rust.
This time of year and depending on where you are, I hope it already had some antifreeze in it.
