Works approximately 10 minutes, then blows hot air.

It may need some Freon. When was the last time someone checked to gas pressure in the system? Do you hear any noises from the engine compartment? It could also be a slipping belt or compressor issue. Find a mechanic you trust (or others you know trust) and get a check-up. If you don’t like the answer, get another evaluation or 2. Be prepared to pay for the troubleshooting.
