I’m trying to check the error code generated by my 95 626 4cyl auto. My manual says that this car is OBD 2 ready (that Mazda jumped ahead 1 year),but it is not. I can cause the cel to flash a code by shorting the proper wire to ground, but I can’t make sense of it. I can’t tell when a new code starts. Is this a 2 digit code or a three digit code like the Ford Probes? Is there an OBD1 reader available for this car?
This car has a very fast idle. I can reduce the idle speed but then it is prone to going dead at idle.
