When I turn on the ignition, the check engine light does not come on. Once I start the car the check engine light comes on. When I check for the PCM code, there are none. How do I get the light to go off. I’ve disconnected the battery and reconnected it, but this didn’t fix the problem.
When you first turn on the ignition, the check engine light should go on as a self-test, and go out after a couple of seconds. If this doesn’t happen, but, if the light comes on later, you most likely have a PCM problem.
