On the way to work this morning my power steering went out and when I parked the truck it was leaking anti freeze at a good pace. Not much time to check things out or I would have been late. I am thinking the power steering went out due to being soaked in fluid which means a radiator hose broke? Anyone agree or disagree with my theory?
It is very easy to check if a rad hose broke, and very likely. However, you water pump bearing could have given out as well. Also check for power steering fluid leaking. This is not a normal coincidence.
FYI—Had a guy look at it today said the bearing went out on the Idler Pulley which caused it to rub against the overflow bottle which caused the leak. Thanks for your help
