Vehicle travled 80 miles, stopped and wont start, changed battery, but only grunts, need to step on clutch while turning key.
Where is clutch connection to ground? Any other suggestions?
Why are you concentrating on the clutch inibit switch as the cause for your concern?
By grunt I assume you mean the starter motor is engaging but not turning fast enough to start the engine. Probable causes in order of probability, 1 - 3
- low battery
- Bad connection or cable
- bad starter motor.
I would tend to believe the clutch switch in the scenario I describe would be farther down the list.
