1991 F-150 Not Starting, Starter Turning Over

Update:

Fixed the problem. I replaced three parts: Distributor cap, rotor, and the ignition module. It was one of those :stuck_out_tongue: I believe it was the ignition module though, just because i had to go buy some stupid special wrench to get it off. Thank you guys for all your help!! Truck runs like a baby now.

It would have to be the module (assuming there is no intermittent in the ignition switch, etc) because a cap and rotor will not cause a no start unless either or both are physically and badly damaged. That would be apparent to the naked eye though.

You did clean the module mounting pad and use the special grease I hope. Failure to do so can lead to a module failure.

I think it was the ignition module also. Thanks for the feedback and you’re welcome for the help.

Glad you got your F-150 back on the road Good for you for sticking with it. Time to haul a load of 2 x 4 's … lol …
