Misses intermittantly when accelerating. Cadillac dealership replaced catalytic converter. Still misses. They said they couldn’t determine the cause. Any suggestions? My husband loves this car and doesn’t want to get rid of it.
It could be a number of things but the most likely would be it needs spark plugs if this hasn’t been done for a while, and a new set of spark plug wires. If that doesn’t do it, I’d look at a weak coil as the problem. Even an old plug wire too close to the radiator or metal or another plug wire and arcing can cause this under load.
