Anything rubber or plastic will deteriorate, including tires, oil and fluid seals, wiring insulation and electrical connectors, vacuum and pressure tubing. I once had to dispose of a beautiful 1985 Toyota Cressida that was mechanically perfect because of all sorts of intermittent wiring and connector problems that even the dealer could not permanently repair.
It’s all relative. When I lived in Syracuse NY area - it’s considered Upstate or Central State. We always considered Albany to be Down State. But if you’re from NYC…anything north of the city is considered Upstate.
