my truck will not idle, and when i give it gas it dies. i can keep it going if i pump the gas. it will idle for about 30 seconds when its warm. any ideas?
The “feedback” carburetors used during this dark age were junk. Assuming an emissions test is not an issue, replace the carb with a non-electronic one made between 1965-1979. Make sure the EGR valve is not stuck open.
