1976 Chevrolet Van Heater Core Replacement

I have a friend who has a 1976 Chevrolet Sport Van who is looking for information on how to replace the heater core. Any information would be appreciated. (I’m just a go-between for a friend; he’s far more knowledgeable about cars than I am, while I am far more techno-savvy than he is. We’re quite the pair.)
