Replacing the carburetor on a 1964 Chevy C10 with a 1970 292 6 cylinder. The original Monojet had a manual choke but the brand new replacement has an electrical choke. What circuit would I need to connect it to and should I get a relay for it?
I would swap it to a manual choke, myself. That is what I had on my 64 Pontiac with that carb.
I tried an electric, tied to an ignition switched 12v feed and ground, but it never worked very well. It was on all the time when running. It doesn’t draw much current. Maybe put a switch on it.
