Once at 9k miles(dealer fixed) and 1x at 66k and is under extended warranty.Dealer doesn’t know what did it yet.They are replacing the wiring harness and the alternator. Looks like the wires coming out of the alternator caught fire. They said theres a short somewhere. Any ideas? I’m seriously considering trading the car in asap because i think they will just put it together and tell me it’s fine --Nervous in New Orleans
Your insurance didn’t total it out after the first time?
no, the damage did not appear extensive and i didn’t even contact my insurance company. They replaced the alternator and wiring harness for both times.
