Check engine light has not come on, and the problem started after I replaced the front motot mount and the torque control mount.
I think I know what’s going on, but I don’t know why. When the a/c clutch is engaged, shouldn’t that bump up the engine rpms? That’s not happening. I’m wondering if I disconnected something in geeting the front engine mount out of the car?
The ac does not always bump the idle speed. Sometimes it just maintains the same idle speed, but it should not go down.
Finally resolved the problem. It was a dirty throttle body. Apparently, when I removed the battery to allow space for the front motor mount to be removed, the idle speed could not reset correctly. I found I had to use a soft cloth to remove the build-up, just spraying it with throttle body cleaner didn’t do the job.
