03 ford f150 "bird chirp" squeek

When I first got my car, it would make a rapid chirping noise when I went down a gravel road, along with random chirps elsewhere when I went over a bump.

I ended up finding out what it was by accident when I was replacing my air filter. I looked down and happened to notice that a metal clip (which had been missing since I bought the car) had fallen down and got wedged in a joint which moves with the suspension.

Yeah. Just took a neighbor for a ride whos an airline mechanic. He thinks its coming from inside. I agree it sounds inside but it doesnt make sense why itd go away when its wet out. Oh well. I took some dash pieces apart and nothing really moved or squeaked.

ah, thanks. what i describe as a rear end squeek, duplicated with with side to side motion, is rather a chirp. very birdlike.
