Why does my car cut off when it put it in park?
The problem might be with a faulty PRNDL (prindle) switch. This switch tells the computer what gear the transmission is in. I’ve seen these switches on Fords cause all sorts of electrical glitches. Such as intrument panel lights going off and on to the engine shutting off when the vehicle is shifted into any gear.
