02 century 3.1L 6 cyl. Is it a big job to change out this water pump? Can a Saturday morning mechanic do this job? If not, What would I expect to pay for a new pump plus labor? Thanks in advance.
A new water pump is $50 or so, lifetime parts warranty. No real idea on labor, but usually an hour or 1.5 hrs covers the issue, in my experience.
If you can change an alternator you can change the water pump on this vehicle. Just make sure you do a good job of getting all the air out of the system when you’re done.
