Yes, I am getting both replaced now. The mechanic has provided me a quote of $ 450(with parts) for both front struts. As most of the work in done in shop where I can’t actually see what they are changing, so what is the correct way to find out that he has actually changed the old struts with the new ones?
The correct way is to have him give the old parts back to you. Some states actually require it.
Or, ask him if you can watch. It’d be a good learning experience.
Actually, he agreed to come and work on it in my driveway. He has all the tools required so it is good if he can do it in front of me. And yes, I saw it and he is changing new struts.
