Your advice to Barbara re buying a ‘local’ 4x4 truck was good, however, your brand sense was wrong. I live and travel in the Caribbean and CA. There are very few ‘vintage’ US made vehicles down here. She will be much more likely to find an older Mitsubishi or Toyota truck, and the locals do have parts and repair know-how.
