I have a 2002 Volvo V40 that I bought used in 2004. My husband replaced one spring last year and now my mechanic says the other 3 springs are caput! What would make this happen?
well if the miles are high, normal wear and tare, but where you drive and what you drive on like drit roads bad pot holes, hard driving, can ware the springs shocks struts and outher things , so good luck, make sure you get a 2ed opion, from a driffent shop.
I have 75,000 miles on it and live in the NorthEast - not far from Boston the pothole capitol of the world. Mostly it just drives around my hometown though.
I also have the same problem when i purchased my second hand v40. 2004 Volvo V40 Headlight and the springs. But i didn’t encountered any additional problem after replacing the springs.
