What does this mean?

Last I looked yesterday, this was the last post made on the forum and it had been 23 hours since it was posted last I looked…

And this morning when I made my 1st post, I was given that same notice you posted…

Last I looked yesterday, this was the last post made on the forum and it had been 23 hours since it was posted last I looked…

EDIT: It did it to this post also..???

So basically every post and reply to it is being held for review. Man it seems this site is in worse shape than Igor Sushko’s Automotive Forums.

Heya and happy new year. I’ve been trying to post a new topic, but I keep receiving the following message: “Multiple errors occurred: 1) You’re not allowed to tag topics 2) There was an error tagging the topic.” Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Thanks for your help.

Yeah it won’t let me read certain ones and I get that message. I don’t know whats going on but this has not been a happy place for about a year.

And not just Cartalk Community!

Forums Tech-related concern:

How come under tags, when creating a new thread, only car makes and some models are the only tags, with no option to create one’s own?

Thanks for explanation in advance!

Just how hard is it to put the brand and model in the header and a post ?

Fixed tags prevent inappropriate entries.

“vehicle speed sensor” or “timing chain” are fine tags if you ask me.

I am sorry, did the post from @texases go over your head? The Tag restrictions are to prevent an “Inappropriate” Tag from being created…

So, how would you prevent someone from being “insulting” when they thought it was funny or just plain nasty with ill-intent creating a tag that would be offensive to some of the members. You know that there are postings that have not met the Community Standards and had to be removed… So, the ball is in your court and it’s up to you to come up with a solution. Don’t expect the other members to do your work.

Inquiring Minds Want to Know…

Absolutely not.

But in preventing “inapropriate” tags, it prevents legitimate ones.

You are not going to win anyone over to your side… As was suggested, put your “Tag” in the title…

This is the only forums I participate in with just pre-selectable tags.

Every other forum on Earth you can create your own tags.
