Weak Brakes -- Need Some Help

Well, I just replaced the rear wheel bearings on my 2002 Pontiac Bonneville and to get the calipers off, I had to take the brake line connected to the calipers off. All the brake fluid drained out. I replaced it with Napa brand dot3. Now my brakes are weaker. Spongy. Not stopping as fast as they should. I tightened everything back up before I put new brake fluid in. What can I do to fix this? I need my car and don’t need to rear end someone on the freeway.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

My best guess is there is air in the bake lines, a good bleeding may solve the issue, many cars are different but a web search should provide some info.

I concur with @Barkydog. Bleed the brakes.
