Want a Mazda CX-5?

Good luck getting one.

From Mazda’s Facebook page:

The rumors are true. We’re in a bit of a bind.

But it’s the best bind to be in: You’re buying Mazda CX-5s almost faster than we can build them!

Due to unexpectedly high sales of our new, fully SKYACTIV® 2013 Mazda CX-5 (nearly double the original amount we budgeted for Japan and here in the U.S.) we’ve had to task an additional Mazda facility with producing CX-5s, and SKYACTIV-G gasoline and SKYACTIV-D diesel engines, full time!

In short, thanks everyone! (})

They gave it to Green Car Reports and they got a combined(2/3 highway, 1/3 city) MPG of 33.1 on their test drive.

I think the CX-5 is a great car. It is practical, efficient, and fun, AND it makes the smiley grille look good.
