Being ripped off would be that you had to bear the entire cost. It might be best to just let them do this . If you stall and annoy them you will lose what incentive they have to fix your vehicle . Yes, it is upsetting but it could be a lot worse.
Madison- am curious how much you ended up paying. I have exact same situation and dealer is giving me quote of $6300. Of which i have to pay 40%. And i need cyclander head done. The timing chain is covered and not included in this. Where are you located? I am in Boulder, CO.
