VW Timing Chain and Bent Valves

The remanufactured cylinder head costs more but it includes the valves, valve springs, valve guide seals, etc.

The valve listed is a valve timing control valve/solenoid.

Madison , you are getting repair help and the dealer is getting paid less than they normally would because VW corporate is involved . Just have this repaired and move on .

I’m just trying not to get ripped off. They’re already charging me $450 for the diagnostic and $250 for a battery replacement that I didn’t authorize

they determined that 3 out of 4 valves are bent.

There is only 1 valve I see on your repair list, What’s up with that?

Being ripped off would be that you had to bear the entire cost. It might be best to just let them do this . If you stall and annoy them you will lose what incentive they have to fix your vehicle . Yes, it is upsetting but it could be a lot worse.

Madison- am curious how much you ended up paying. I have exact same situation and dealer is giving me quote of $6300. Of which i have to pay 40%. And i need cyclander head done. The timing chain is covered and not included in this. Where are you located? I am in Boulder, CO.
