VW Timing Chain and Bent Valves

The remanufactured cylinder head costs more but it includes the valves, valve springs, valve guide seals, etc.

The valve listed is a valve timing control valve/solenoid.

Iā€™m just trying not to get ripped off. Theyā€™re already charging me $450 for the diagnostic and $250 for a battery replacement that I didnā€™t authorize

There is only 1 valve I see on your repair list, Whatā€™s up with that?

Being ripped off would be that you had to bear the entire cost. It might be best to just let them do this . If you stall and annoy them you will lose what incentive they have to fix your vehicle . Yes, it is upsetting but it could be a lot worse.

Madison- am curious how much you ended up paying. I have exact same situation and dealer is giving me quote of $6300. Of which i have to pay 40%. And i need cyclander head done. The timing chain is covered and not included in this. Where are you located? I am in Boulder, CO.
