OK , you really should not be looking at used European luxury vehicles if a large repair invoice is going to make you ill .

Before writing any checks, suggest to inquire the repair rates at the local Mercedes specialist shops. Less of an issue if you do plan to do most of your own diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs.
Mitsubishi sold 6,681 Outlander PHEVās in 2023, About 3X what they sold in 2022 and the first quarter sales are slightly lower than 2023ās numbers. Rogue doesnāt offer a Hybrid or Plug in as far as Iām aware. Friends with the Rogue seem to really like them, one switched from Kia after making them buy back her new Soul CVT because of transmission problems.
Hi, last check here for further opinions (nowish). Weāll be test driving that mercedes 350 phev 2018 suv on thurs 2may24. I did check w/our 1stclass car mech, who said whatever in that list, be sure itās under 75k mi. Nissan & Mits announced āno more phevs!ā so I ruled them both out, I want something from mfr that still will have those active for a decent period (10y or so). So Iāve been left w/$38K + for rav4 primes used, & mercedes, for in my pickky list (the mercedes Iām looking at is in the $20K range, ok for us.) Tx again!

Consumer Reports doesnāt list the PHEV Mercedes, but they give the gas only one āworse than averageā and āmuch worse than averageā ratings.
There is a Federal Tax Credit of up to $4000 for the purchase of a used plug-in hybrid vehicles with a sale price of $25,000 or less.
The Mercedes GLC350e might qualify, check with the selling dealer.

Why not just shoot yourself in the foot and be done with it . I canāt even imagine just how much the repair bills will be on a used Mercedes that sells for 20000.00
