They became a fashion trend @bing. As did sagging pants did due to jails taking away belts as I recall.
They used to make cars like that decades ago, but without the scan tool or the online access to factory manuals. I once had a 1981 Maxima, one of the last cars made with rear-wheel drive and a straight six engine. I was able to replace all six plugs in about 20 minutes. What you’re asking for is a manufacturer to go retro.
