Vanden Plas battery drain

I have a 1996 Jaguar Vanden Plas. Issue I have is the battery is drained within a couple weeks. I noticed the glove box slightly ajar, which had the light on. I took the light bulb out. With the bulb out, will a drain still be placed on the battery? What else could drain the battery?

Sounds like the glove box light was the problem. You may have permanently damaged the battery with repeat discharges. Dozens of things can drain the battery if the wiring or components fail.

Have you hooked up a battery charger . . . after you removed the glove box light bulb?

How old is that battery, anyways?
