Is it okay to use low range on a 4x4 on dry pavement if you don’t lock the hubs? I had a friend I was helping move a car do this and I guess it makes sense, but is it okay to have the front axle freewheeling? Is he halving the amount of power going to the back wheels by doing this?
Won’t hurt anything. You’ll just be really slow getting around. Power isn’t an issue
