Just wanted to say thanks to those of you who offered advice and clarified why the extreme rusting happened to my car’s rear subframe. It all makes sense now. Unfortunately, I wound up donating my car to charity. I was really sad but even sadder at being stranded and having to get another one. With the help of my car-savvy nephew we found a 2007 pre-owned Subaru Impreza wagon with 23,000 miles. When I test drove it I knew it was for me. It’s sporty, not huge, handles really well and has a nice little kick. I’m picking it up Monday and I’m really excited and happy to be “on the road again!” Take care and drive safe. Ban
