Bluetooth stopped working again!!
Driver door hinges worn out and door droops. Toyota quality in these ares not up to par.
Dealer is useless.
Not quite awesome after all
Sorry you are having those difficulties. If you lube the door hinges on a regular basis they’ll last longer. Original door hinges on my 30 year old Corolla. I lube them w/every engine oil change.
Still, on a 7 year old car even if the hinges were never lubed seems they shouldn’t be failing…
hmmm … .Hard to imagine what would cause early door hinge failure?.. are the doors on newer cars getting heavier, or are the hinges getting less robust?
Life is too short to drive a car you are unhappy with. Find a new car you do like and trade this one in on it.

Hi, and welcome to Car Talk. Just wanted to welcome and thank you for joining if only to bitch about a used car. If in the future you actually have a question, or even soliciting advise, well I guess you know where to find us.
A friend of mine owned an AMC Hornet, and he had the same problem with his door hinges after ~5 years. These problems are not common, but they are also not unheard-of.
