I have a 1988 buick lesabre that wont shift automatically. I have to start in 1st gear nd up shift thru the gears. It goes into reverse fine. It also down shifts on its own. But when it is ingear it doesnt have much power.
Do you change the fluid and filter every 30000 miles. It could have burnt fluid in it and that would make it not shift properly.
