1998 Intrepid and the Transmission lost all fluid and basically broke down. No gear connect, no progress. How do I find a reputable repair shop where they will provide honest assessment of cost and the problem?
Look for the word “AAMCO” and cross it off of your list. That will go a long way toward making sure you don’t get ripped off.
Where are you located? Some of the best people to ask are the countermen at a NAPA parts store. They know all the local shop owners, the good, the bad and the ugly…It’s a good place to start.
