do most of the early to mid 90’s dodge mini vans make a noise like “plastic gears grinding” when you put them in gear ? anything to worry about?
What you are hearing is the solenoid pack energizing. The solenoid pack houses the shift solenoids for the transmission. This noise is normal as long as it is not excessive. A trans shop can listen to it and make that judgment.
