Trade in value

Why are the values on NADA higher than Kelly Blue Book? For my vehicle, it is $800 higher on NADA.

Since I am comparing $2400 to $3200, percentage-wise it is a great amount. Which do dealers use?

From what I understand NADA is a NATIONAL average…where as Kelly Blue Book is more of a regional average. Some vehicles are worth more (or less) in certain parts of the country. awd/4wd vehicles sell more in the NE where there’s a lot of snow/nasty weather as opposed to sunny/flat Florida.

Dealers us the black book. I can’t remember what the exact title was but it’s different than the blue book. It may have been NADA, but I’m not 100% sure.
