You could use a 4wd just once and for mny it would be worth it. Personally, I live on a private road and the entire winter requires 4wd, just to get the paper. That’s not many, granted, but I’ve always said, it’s a personal decision and just a 30 foot driveway that’s unavailable w/o 4wd is enough. Security can’t be measured by someone else point of view.
I also recommend winter tires, I put them on my Tacoma. So toss one of the summer tire n wheels in the cargo area if you want a spare. it will get you to the repair shop
